Glacier Hops
Origin: Washington, USA. Glacier’s lineage includes a heritage French variety called Elsasser. It was produced through the USDA breeding program and released to the public in 2000.
Usage: Bred for low cohumulone levels, Glacier’s profile is extremely mellow and “European.” Its mild, warm character is right at home highlighted in many English- or Belgian-style ales but its respectable alpha content allows for good bittering potential as well.
Aroma & Flavor Characteristics: Moderate and pleasant with a floral edge reminiscent of some English aroma varieties. Displays lively citrus, peach, and dark fruit (plum, blackberry) and subtle herbal tones as a flameout or dry hop.
